All GCISD elementary and middle schools hosted spelling bees at their respective campuses from November 28-January 12. First place winners now advance to compete with Carroll ISD in the Area Bee competition, which will be held at 1 p.m., February 15, in GCISD’s Professional Development Education Center (PDEC). The Area Bee winner then advances to compete in the Regional Bee to be held March 5, where the winner will earn a spot to compete in the Scripps National Spelling Bee.
