My Path to CES: I graduated from The University of Alabama, in 1993, with a Bachelor's Degree in Human Environmental Sciences and completed my Master's Degree in Educational Leadership through Midwestern State University in 2003. I am grateful for the guidance provided by MSU but my heart will always belong to the Crimson Tide. Roll Tide.....Roll.....

My time in the classroom was spent as a kindergarten, first and second-grade teacher in both Ft. Worth ISD and Keller ISD. Upon completion of my graduate work, I was hired to mentor the first year teachers in Keller ISD and probably learned more than I taught!

I joined the Colleyville Elementary family in 2009, as the assistant principal, and have thoroughly enjoyed every minute of learning that I have experienced with our students and staff. The kids make me laugh every single day and I feel confident saying there are not many jobs out there that can make a similar claim!

Family life: I am extremely lucky to have a very loving and supportive family. I have been married to my husband Jack since 1994. We have three children, two dogs, and a guinea pig. Having our own children attend GCISD schools has provided a comfortable balance to our life. I strongly believe in the forward movement of GCISD and love what it has brought to all three of our children. I am very proud to say they are evidence of such a progressive and innovative school district.
