2018-2019 Back to School Information

Dear Cowboy Parents, Thank you for a fabulous 2017-2018 school year! We are very proud of our students' hard work throughout the year. We also appreciate all of the support from our parents and community members. New student residency completion/verification for the 2018-2019 school year is on Tuesday, August 7 from 8:00 am to 6:00 pm at CES. Please complete the new student online registration on our district’s website before completing registration at CES on this day.

Colleyville Elementary - 2019 Schools Transforming Learning Award

On June 7, 2018, 31 elite campuses were named “2018 Schools Transforming Learning” by the Principals’ Institute (PI). These diverse campuses are making exceptional strides on their journeys to provide innovative learning opportunities for all students. Colleyville Elementary School was one of the campuses recognized!

Common Sense, the national nonprofit organization dedicated to helping kids and families thrive in a world of digital media and technology, has recognized Colleyville Elementary School as a Common Sense School.

Summer Reading

Stop the summer slide! "Research shows that kids who do not read during the summer months are more likely to fall victim to the "summer slide" — the learning loss that takes place during the long break from school. Parents say summer reading helps their child during the school year mainly because it helps keep their kid’s brain active and that reading requires constant practice," (Scholastic, 2018)

CES Rock Garden

In art class, our students read the book, Only One You by Linda Kranz, and then began painting rocks. Each student painted one rock to add to our new rock garden in the front of the school. The rocks represent each child at CES and their uniqueness! Our CES staff also painted a rock to add as well.
